We all love our computer gadgets, but once they hit the landfill they cause a lot of damage to our local environment. This year, MITN is sponsoring an e-Waste Recycling Event to help you easily and safely recycle your old electronics.
Last year we collected over 11,000 pounds of electronic waste!
We will be collecting the following items:
Cell phones • Tablets • Laptops • PCs and Towers
Monitors • TVs (under 32") • Software • Video game systems
Batteries • Keyboards • Cords & cables • Computer accessories
Due to legal reasons, this event is for individual and consumer e-Waste only. We are not able to accept e-waste from companies or organizations. If you are part of a company looking for a way to properly dispose of e-waste, please contact Valley City at 616-235-1500.
Volunteers Needed!
We need volunteers to help collect and sort material as well as I.T. experts to help troubleshoot and wipe devices. Get more details and sign up online.
Sponsored by Davenport University
This year's e-Waste event is generously sponsored by Davenport University's Lansing campus. Davenport current Lansing campus is located on Kalamazoo Street; a new campus will be opening on Grand River Avenue in Fall 2013.
